As part of  CBAT's charter, we look to develop links with like-minded local and international arts organisations, foundations, institutions, and funders.  As such we are pleased to work with a number of partner organizations in the UK and Latin America.  Below is a summary of collaboration projects we have undertaken.

CBAT's partnership with Gasworks started in 2019 with CBAT's first sponsorship of an up-and-coming Bolivian artist (Andrés Bedoya) for a three month residency with Gasworks.

Gasworks is a prestigious contemporary visual art organization that provides studios for London-based artists; commissions emerging UK-based and international artists to present their first major exhibitions in the UK;  and develops a highly-respected international residencies programme, offering international artists the opportunity to research and develop new work in London.

CBAT creates opportunities for connecting Bolivian artists with the SDCLEAR’s research initiatives in contemporary art and heritage research relating to their collection.

The Santo Domingo Centre of Excellence for Latin American Research (SDCELAR) is based at the British Museum; founded in 2019. It supports cultural heritage initiatives that are developed in Latin America and aims to create a network of communities that are interested in the heritage and material culture of the region.

CBAT co-sponsored with Auto Italia the exhibition Amaru’s Tongue: Daughter, a newly commissioned moving image work and the first international solo exhibition by multidisciplinary Bolivian artists Chuquimamani-Condori (Elysia Crampton Chuquimia) and Joshua Chuquimia Crampton.

Auto Italia is an artist-run organization and project space that commissions new work, bringing together international networks of artists committed to the development of emerging practices and discussions in contemporary art.

CBAT partnered with KIOSKO to co-sponsor the Bolivian Ivan Cáceres artistic residency in 2019 at URRA  (Buenos Aires, Argentina).

Kiosko Galeria is an independent artist led gallery established in 2006 that disseminates and promotes contemporary art in Santa Cruz, Bolivia. They operate along with studios providing a space and a platform for both national and international art, design and editorial work through its International Residency Programme for artists and curators .

In 2022, CBAT and Noel Kempff Mercado Foundation, in alliance with 'Manzana 1 Espacio de Arte', launched the photography contest 'Naturaleza, Sociedad y Clima' at a national level in Bolivia highlighting the issue of Climate Change through the medium of photographic art.

'Manzana 1 Espacio de Arte' is a non-profit art gallery where different artistic expressions are presented, including painting, sculpture, photography, installations, graphic design, and applied arts, as well as a variety of theme exhibitions (carnival, theater, children, folklore, history, blind people, photojournalism, etc.). The Gallery organizes educational workshops and international sculptor encounters. The facilities include five exhibition rooms and the Manzana Uno plaza, already a landmark known as 'Art in the Plaza'  exhibiting 36 images on large-scale display frames permanently.

CBAT, in partnership with Fundación Patiño, presented a series of photo exhibitions from the 2022 Photo Contest ‘Naturaleza, Sociedad y Clima’ through the Foundation public galleries in Santa Cruz, Cochabamba, and La Paz during late 2022 and 2023.

In cultural matters, the Patiño Foundation develops high-quality programs (exhibitions, museums, concerts, conferences) with a pedagogical dimension and a national scope.  One of their means to promote Bolivian culture is its Art and Photography Exhibitions held in the Foundation facilities in Santa Cruz, Cochabamba, and La Paz.
